I can't believe it's almost Xmas, now. I also can't believe I saw almost 4,000 people die in front of my eyes.

The count down has begun. The engines have been fired and are warming up. It looks as if it's only 7 days before I will be living alone with my dog and cat. There's a song about NYC on U2's latest album and it describes the city pretty well: "In New York freedom looks like too many choices." So I'll have my freedom, my choices, my solitude, my options, my hopes, my dreams, my friends, my trials, my life. What a strange new beginning, again.

I went and saw Final Fantasy tonight. It was entertaining and interesting to see such complete animation. Their movement is a little stiff and the skin doesn't move enough to seem as if it is connected to a living creature. How ironic that the movie is about the essence of life and it has a very flat effect in this category. Though DEFINITELY check out the movie if you want to see where animation and virtual reality are going. Anyone see The Looker with Susan Day in the '80s?

I actually left for the movie with 10 minutes to get across town to 3rd and 11th St from 8th and 13th taking a cab across 14th street. Well there is construction on 14th and it took forever. But I had the best conversation with the cab driver who is from Bangladesh. We talked about how NYC has changed since we've been here -both 14 years.

Anyway, I got to the cineplex late and the cineplex is showing the movie in two different theaters. Mine was up on the 7th floor and I went to the one on the 5th floor. I didn't realize what floor the escalators were stopping on. So the funny thing is I went into see the last 25 minutes of Final Fantasy. When it ended, I had finished my bottle of water and M&M's and I went up to the 7th floor. I, of course came in even further late, but it wasn't too hard to catch up with the movie. When it ended, again, I tried going back to the other theater to see the beginning, but I came in on it at the same place I came in in the beginning the second time and I found out I would have to wait 45 minutes to see the beginning. The movie's not SO deep that I missed anything. It was interesting seeing it out of sequence. I think because I saw the ending first it made up for missing the beginning....

We're really just a bunch of hemorrhoids with legs walking around bouncing off each other.

Don't forget to stop and enjoy the Dunkin'Donuts or two every once-in-awhile. Enjoy your life how ever you do.
